THE COTTONTAILS are one of San Francisco's most exciting musical groups. Well-versed in American musical styles from the 1920s to the 1980s, they will belt out some old gin-house blues, riff on a Charilie Parker tune, and rock out on Black Sabbath, all in a single set.
THE COTTONTAILS feature Karina Denike on vocals, Ralph Carney on horns and lap steel, backed up by the hardest-working rhythm section in show business — Michael McIntosh on piano, Daniel Fabricant on bass, and the irrepressible Randy Odell on percussion. The group was born and baptized at the Riptide, a friendly tavern near the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco. The Riptide is still one of the best places to see the band let loose.
Remember: the more you drink, the better THE COTTONTAILS will sound — but even if you only drink tepid water, THE COTTONTAILS' mellifluous tones will perk up your ears and palpitate your heart with frenzied excitement. In fact, if you have even the mildest of heart conditions, please stay a safe distance from THE COTTONTAILS' music, as they do not want to be held responsible for any medical emergencies which might ensue. Thank you for reading this highly informative blurb — we hope to see you soon at a COTTONTAILS show!
